So Good! Baba Adeboye’s Wife enrols street kids in schools

Some streets kids in Ilesa, Osun State have been enrolled in private primary and secondary schools by the Habitation of Hope International Ministry, established by Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Baba E.A. Adeboye.

The Coordinator of the HHIM in Osun State, Mr. Olusayo Adedigba, said the home enrolled the kids in order to ensure proper rehabilitation and to make them useful members of the society.

She said this in Ilesa on Thursday at the inauguration of Habitation of Hope International Ministry.

Adedigba stated that the home also looked after area boys/ girls, prostitutes and other vulnerable persons with the aim of rehabilitating them.

She said, “By the grace of God, within the last 10 months of pre-operation of the Habitation of Hope in Osun, which also serves as kick-off period, God has helped us and we have six pupils in Redeemer’s Primary School, Ilesa; two pupils at Redeemer’s College, Ilesa, one student at the Nursing Department, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife and another one at Living Spring College of Technology, Osogbo.”

The National Coordinator, Pastor Grace Balogun, who represented Mrs. Adeboye, said the project which was started in Ogun State was primarily to win souls to Jesus Christ; to give the vulnerable persons a home, education or vocational training and to reconcile them back to their parents.

The project is in all states in the South West as well as Niger State, to get to other states soon.

She urged Nigerians to show love to street kids and other vulnerable persons, saying they could be rehabilitated and contribute to the development of the nation if shown adequate love and care.

The Commissioner of Police in Osun State, Mr. Fimihan Adeoye, who was present at the ceremony called on the people of the state to support the home in order to reduce crime rate in the state.

He said, “The real value of any man is not measured by what he is given but by what he is able to give to others. Daddy GO and Mummy GO have been doing this very well and I thank God for their lives.

“This project will help in reducing crimes. Those kids, who would have grown to become criminals are being taken care of by the Habitation of Hope. It is a good initiative and should be supported by everybody. We are going to support the project because it will help in reducing crimes.”
